Michael E. Turner

Mike was born in Beaumont and grew up in Highlands.  He attended Ross S. Sterling High School, Lee College, the University of Houston for his undergraduate degree, and the University of Houston Law School.  Mike was admitted to practice May 15, 1981. 

With more than 40 years of experience, Mike handles a variety of cases, including DWI/DUI defense, in Harris County, Liberty County, Chambers County, and other counties in the Houston metropolitan area.  Mike has tried approximately 200 jury trials in cases ranging from DWI and drug cases to murder and child sexual assaults.  He has exclusively practiced criminal defense for the last 30 years.

Mike is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, and the East Harris County Bar Association.

Mike's two children, April Turner Garrison and Christopher M. Turner, joined Turner Law Office when they passed the Texas Bar.  Mike lives in Baytown with his two rescue dogs, Lady and Buddy.

April Turner Garrison

April was born in Houston and grew up in Baytown.  She attended Ross S. Sterling High School and graduated in 2003.  In 2007, she graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with a degree in Communications Studies and a minor in Human Relations.  While at UT, she was an active member of Sigma Phi Lambda.  April received her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 2009.  During her last semester at South Texas, she interned for the Harris County District Attorney's Office for Judge Vanessa Velasquez of the 183rd District Court.  April passed the February 2010 Texas Bar exam and was sworn in by Judge Velasquez.  She was admitted to practice May 5, 2010.  Following in Mike’s footsteps, she has been practicing criminal law since the day she was licensed.

April is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, and the East Harris County Bar Association.  She is formerly a member of the Rotary Club of Baytown.

April currently lives in Baytown with her husband, Clay, two sons, Jackson and Hutson, and daughter, Audrey.  They have two cats, Yao and Seamore.

Christopher M. Turner

Christopher was born in Houston and grew up in Baytown.  He attended Ross S. Sterling High School and graduated in 2000.  In 2007, he graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Sociology.  Before attending law school, Christopher clerked for the 245th and 308th District Courts in Harris County.  He received his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in December 2011 and passed the February 2012 Texas Bar exam.  He was sworn in by Judge Larry Cryer and admitted to practice May 4, 2012.

Christopher is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, East Harris County Bar Association and a former Rotary Club member.  He was named a Paul S. Harris Fellow and served on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Baytown from 2014-2016. In 2017, Christopher was honored by the Baytown Sun as one of their 20 under 40 recipients.

Christopher currently lives in Baytown with his wife, My, and rescue dogs, Penny and Lucky.
